Interpretation and it varieties

Although the translator can be tell apart from the interpreter because the first one translates the written language and the second one the spoken language, there are different types of interpretation.

Simultaneous interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation consists in transmitting the message in real time, interpretation is carried out while the speaker is giving the message. In order for the interpretation to be performed some technical equipment such as cabins, microphones, consoles, tape recorders and headphones are necessary. It is carried out in most of the official meetings, summits international congresses, colloquium, etc.

Consecutive interpretation

Consecutive interpretation consists in transmitting the message after the speaker gives the message. Consecutive interpretation requires from memory and note-taking. In this kind of interpretation note-taking is the most important tool for the interpreter. It usually takes place in round tables, visits to companies, etc.

Whispering

Whispering consists in whispering the message to the ear of the person. It is used when therer are few people present.
