International exams, which one to choose?
Cambridge English exams
Cambridge English exams are accepted by over 15,000 universities, employers and governments around the world and they are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Cambridge exams are divided into five sections. Each one is given a mark of 20% out of the total mark. The certificate is granted if it is above 60%.
- First Certificate in English (FCE)
It is an upper-intermediate level qualification (B2). It proves you can use everyday written and spoken English for work or study purposes.
- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
It certifies and provides the linguistic skills of advanced level to reach academic and professional success (C1).
- Certificate in Proficiency English (CPE)
It is the most advanced Cambridge qualification (C2). It proves you have achieved an extremely high level in English.
- Business English Certificates (BEC)
It provides and certifies practical skills in English speaking international business environments.
It is divided into three levels: Preliminary, is the first of the three certificates. It is an intermediate level exam. Vantage, is the second of the three certificates. It is an upper-intermediate level exam. Higher, is the third of the three certificates. It is a high level exam.
- International Legal English Certificate (ILEC)
It provides the necessary language skills to develop career in international law. It is a high-level qualification.
- International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
It is the world's most popular test for higher education and global migration. Every year, over 1,5 million candidates took the IELTS test to start their path into education and employment.
Italian exams
- PLIDA
PLIDA is an official diploma issued by Società Dante Alighieri that guarantees competence of Italian as a second language according to the CEFR. It is officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Italian Ministry of Instruction, University and Research and issued with the aprobal of the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.
Portuguese exams
- CELPE-BRAS
It is an official certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of Brazil (MEC) since 1998, and globally recognised by companies and education institutions as certification of competence in portuguese language.
